When can we expect ‘Squid Game’ Season 3?

Netflix has announced that “Squid Game” will have a third and final season set to premiere in 2025, following the storyline of Seong Gi-hun seeking vengeance against the creators of the game.

What can we expect in ‘Squid Game’ Season 3?

After the cliffhanger in Season 2, fans are eager for the continuation in Season 3.

For those who missed it, there were post-credit scenes after the last episode of Season 2. “If you check that clip out, it provides a bit of insight into where Season 3 might lead,” Hwang mentioned to Variety.

The creator has also suggested that the tension between Seong Gi-hun, or Player 456, and the Front Man will continue to be a pivotal part of the story in the third season.

“The intense rivalry between their worlds will unfold further in the series finale with Season 3, coming next year,” Hwang wrote in a note to fans.

Hwang confirmed that Season 3 will also feature the return of the “VIPs,” the affluent spectators who took pleasure in watching the intense battles where the desperate participants fought for their lives while making high-stakes bets—a group we last saw in Season 1.

“You’ll witness the VIPs in the third season,” he stated through a translator. “They are coming. They’re on their way. Their helicopter is flying over the island right now.”
