Ana Huang’s ‘Twisted’ may be Netflix’s next romantic hit following ‘Bridgerton’


Fans of Ana Huang’s captivating “Twisted” series are eagerly anticipating the day they can watch their favorite intricate romances on screen.

 

Netflix has secured the rights to adapt Huang’s dark romance novels, which have become a sensation on BookTok, in a lucrative seven-figure deal, as stated by the author’s spokesperson. YSL News has reached out to Netflix for further details.

Although specific information about the cast and production has not yet been revealed, the series already has a strong fanbase, having sold over 12 million copies and with translation rights sold in 34 countries.

The “Twisted” series consists of four books:

  • Twisted Love (2021): A brother’s best friend romance between Alex and Ava
  • Twisted Games (2021): A royal romance featuring Rhys and Bridget
  • Twisted Hate (2022): A tale of enemies turned lovers involving Josh and Jules
  • Twisted Lies (2022): A billionaire’s fake dating story centered on Christian and Stella

 

While known primarily for her “Twisted” series, Ana Huang is also the bestselling author of 13 novels. Her most recent work, a sultry sports romance called “The Striker,” was released in October and tells the story of a leading soccer star and a former prima ballerina.

 

Her upcoming title, “King of Envy,” is set to launch on April 29. This romance, the fifth in the “Kings of Sin” series, features a morally ambiguous billionaire protagonist and can be enjoyed on its own. Additionally, she has a new book, “The Defender,” which is the second installment in her “Gods of the Game” series, slated for publication in October.
