Eric Schultz, a senior adviser to Obama, stated, “President Obama sees this as a crucial moment and is ready to contribute everything possible to help get Vice President Harris and Democrats elected nationwide.”

He continued, “This fall, his approach will focus on effective engagement with Democrats and undecided voters, especially in critical states. That’s why he will utilize both traditional and innovative methods to reach the electorate before November 5.”

According to a source familiar with their speeches, Obama intends to define the challenges faced by Democrats in the critical 11 weeks leading to the election.

The former president will also highlight the core values at stake in this election, the source added.

Michelle Obama’s speech is also highly awaited, thanks to her popularity among Democrats, who have long urged her to run for president since she left the White House in 2017. However, she has shown little desire to pursue public office.

The former first lady is expected to discuss how Harris is equipped to lead while also advocating for a shift away from fear and division, according to the source.

It is anticipated that Michelle Obama will emphasize the renewed enthusiasm surrounding Harris and focus on her experience and values that make her a strong candidate for the presidency.

“This is going to be a significant moment in history,” Michelle Obama told Harris during a phone call on July 23. “The energy out there has really transformed the situation, and it’s largely due to you.”

The Obamas are taking on a more prominent role within the Democratic party, which was evident after their supportive phone call for Harris, accumulating a staggering 117 million views across various social media platforms, making it one of Obama’s most popular posts of the year.

Additionally, an email they wrote for the campaign generated over $380,000 in contributions.
