Antonio Pierce Challenges Raiders Players for ‘Business Decisions’ During Devastating Loss

Antonio Pierce criticizes Raiders players for making ‘business decisions’ during heavy defeat

Antonio Pierce is openly expressing his discontent with the effort shown by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The head coach seemed to question the commitment of some players in the waning moments of the game, which ended in a 36-22 defeat to the winless Carolina Panthers. Pierce hinted that there could be repercussions moving forward.

“As the game progressed … it was clear that some individuals opted for ‘business decisions’,” Pierce remarked at the postgame press conference, asserting that his team didn’t “show up” during the game. “And we will also make business decisions in the future.”

Just a week after a thrilling 26-23 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, the Raiders faced a harsh defeat on Sunday. Andy Dalton, who replaced the benched Bryce Young, became the first NFL quarterback this season to surpass 300 yards (319) and throw three touchdowns in a single game.

In the team’s first home game at Allegiant Stadium this season, fans expressed their frustration with repeated boos, as the offense could only score seven points in the first three quarters.

“I would have booed us, too,” Pierce acknowledged.

The Raiders will face the Cleveland Browns at home next Sunday.
