Lynn Ban, a renowned jewelry designer and star of “Bling Empire: New York,” has sadly passed away at the age of 51.

Her son shared the tragic news on Instagram, posting a heartfelt tribute on Wednesday.

“My mum passed away on Monday. I know she hoped to share her journey following her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would want one last post to inform everyone who has supported her,” her son Sebastian wrote alongside photos of them throughout the years.

In 2023, Ban was featured in the spinoff of “Bling Empire,” which showcased affluent Asian Americans residing in New York City, alongside her husband and business partner Jett Kain.

Originally from Singapore, Ban established a successful jewelry brand that was favored by numerous celebrities, including Cardi B, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna, as noted on her website.

On Christmas Eve, Ban experienced a severe brain injury, described as a brain bleed resulting from a skiing accident. In a Dec. 30 Instagram post, she explained that what she initially thought was just a headache ultimately led to an emergency craniotomy.

“There’s a long recovery journey ahead, but I consider myself a survivor,” she stated at the time while sharing an image of the significant scar on her head. This post turned out to be her last before the announcement made by her son.

Sebastian described his mother as “my best friend, the most incredible mother to me, and a person who was compassionate towards everyone. She always wore a smile, even during difficult moments in her recovery. She fought hard until the very end and was the strongest woman I have ever known.”

He added, “As a final tribute to my mum, I want to say that I will miss you endlessly, and to conclude with something she always told me: ‘I love you more than life itself, mum.'”

Rihanna, a long-time collaborator of Ban, worked with her on various projects, including tours, public events, music videos, and Fenty Puma collections.

In the comments, Rihanna expressed her grief: “2025 is hitting hard right now! This is overwhelming!!! Lynn, you will forever be our fairy godmother! Love you always and forever!”

Singer Kali Uchis also offered her condolences.

“My heartfelt sympathies to you and your family; your mom looked at you with immense love, pride, and joy. May her soul find peace knowing how cherished she is by you too,” she expressed. “Even though we may not know each other well, we all admired your mom tremendously and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.”
