NFL Changes Week 11 Sunday Night Schedule: Colts vs. Jets Replaced by Bengals vs. Chargers
The NFL has taken the Indianapolis Colts out of the Sunday night game spotlight for Week 11 after giving them a prime-time game in Week 9.
On Monday, the league confirmed that the Colts’ game against the New York Jets will be moved from the “Sunday Night Football” slot to a 1 p.m. ET time. Instead, the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Los Angeles Chargers in prime time.
This adjustment represents the second change to the “Sunday Night Football” lineup this season. Previously, a Colts game against the Minnesota Vikings replaced a game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. In that matchup, the Colts (4-5) had benched quarterback Anthony Richardson and started Joe Flacco, who only threw for 179 yards in their 21-13 defeat.
<pMeanwhile, the Jets (3-6) aim to maintain their playoff aspirations after snapping a five-game losing streak with a victory over the Houston Texans last week.
Showcasing the Bengals (4-5) against the Chargers (5-3) will create excitement around the matchup between quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert, who were the top two picks in the 2020 NFL draft.
