Beyoncé to Headline NFL Halftime Show on Christmas Day: Details Inside
The “Cowboy Carter” Christmas countdown has begun, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is ready to deliver her highly awaited NFL halftime performance during the Texans versus Ravens matchup on December 25.
The superstar recently shared a teaser clip for her performance, and just a day later, it was revealed that the holiday icon, Mariah Carey, will also perform during the live Christmas Day game broadcast on Netflix.
Last month, it was announced that Beyoncé would take the stage for halftime of the Baltimore vs. Houston game at NRG Stadium. Following this news, there was a surge in ticket demand, resulting in a sharp increase in prices.
As the event approaches, streaming live on Netflix, here’s a rundown for fans to prepare.
Will Beyoncé and Mariah Carey Share the Stage?
No, while fans will get the chance to enjoy both performances, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé will not perform together on the same stage.
Beyoncé will perform halftime in her hometown during the Texans-Ravens game.
Mariah Carey will start off the Christmas Day festivities with a pre-recorded rendition of her classic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You” during the first-ever NFL Christmas Game day streamed live on Netflix on December 25.
Carey’s pre-recorded performance will be showcased before the Chiefs take on the Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Ravens-Texans game starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Will Beyoncé Have Guests?
Beyoncé is expected to bring out special guests with whom she collaborated on her eighth studio album. This halftime show will feature live performances of tracks from her innovative album, “Cowboy Carter,” which includes collaborations with icons like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, Miley Cyrus, and Post Malone.
The extensive 27-track album also highlights rising Black country and genre-crossing artists such as Shaboozey, Willie Jones, Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, and Brittney Spencer.
Is the Halftime Show Extended to 20 Minutes?
There were rumors that Beyoncé’s halftime set was stretched to 20 minutes instead of the typical 12-15 minutes; however, this is inaccurate.
Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that her performance will not last for 20 minutes.
The countdown continues as fans eagerly await what Beyoncé has in store for her performance.
