Beyoncé Tops Nominations for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is set to dominate the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards with a remarkable twelve nominations, largely due to her new album “Cowboy Carter.”
The awards ceremony will be hosted by Shania Twain and broadcast live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. This second edition of the show will honor the finest achievements in country music, with all 18 awards determined by fan votes.
This year, both Beyoncé and Zach Bryan are the frontrunners, with Beyoncé’s 12 nominations surpassing Zach Bryan’s 11.
Beyoncé’s nominations cover a wide range, including categories like female artist, social country star, album of the year, song of the year, female song, collaboration song, cover song, crossover song, and storyteller song.
Specifically, she earned two nominations in the female song category for her tracks “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em.” Additionally, her covers of the Beatles’ “Blackbird” and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” have each received nominations in the cover song category. She is also in the running for the evening’s top honor, The People’s Artist of 2024.
