Beyoncé’s Christmas Halftime Show Leads to Soaring Texans Ticket Prices
Beyoncé’s words “I’m in demand as soon as I land” ring true as her upcoming halftime show has resulted in a significant surge in ticket sales for the NFL Christmas game featuring the Ravens and Texans.
The Texas team and the iconic artist announced that she will perform during the halftime break of the game at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Christmas Day. As soon as this news broke, fans rushed to secure their tickets.
Data from Vivid Seats, a ticket marketplace, showed that the traffic for the Ravens vs. Texans game increased by an astonishing 713% on Sunday. Moreover, interest in the Houston Texans page surged by 218%.
Ticket costs dramatically increased, with the average price rising 40% in just one night, going from $378 to $528.
This performance is particularly special as it takes place in Beyoncé’s hometown of Houston. Organized by her company Parkwood Entertainment alongside Jesse Collins Entertainment, it will mark her first live performance featuring songs from her highly praised album “Cowboy Carter.”
Beyoncé recently garnered 11 nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards for this 12-track project, with five nominations in the country and American roots music categories. Notably, she leads in nominations within the country genres, outpacing all other artists. Additionally, she has now become the record-holder for the most nominations in Grammy history, totaling 99 throughout her career.
With an impressive 32 Grammy wins, she is already the most awarded artist in the award show’s history.
This album has also played a significant role in shedding light on Black country artists and highlighting the genre’s historical roots.
The performance on game day will be broadcast live on Netflix on December 25.
