‘Snapped’: Biden Labels Trump ‘Unhinged’ Over Town Hall Performance
WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden has begun to question former President Donald Trump’s mental stability.
The 81-year-old Biden, often criticized by Trump regarding his age and energy levels, reacted to the Republican candidate’s recent dancing and music at a paused campaign town hall on Monday, claiming his 78-year-old rival has “snapped.”
“He has lost his grip,” Biden remarked at a campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday.
“Just look at his rallies,” Biden continued. “In fact, last night, during his rally, they stopped taking questions because someone was hurt. And believe it or not, he stood there for half an hour and danced. I’m being serious! What’s going on with him?”
In response, Trump took to Truth Social, stating, “We started playing music” when the event was interrupted by two medical emergencies and said, “it ended up being a FANTASTIC EVENING!”
However, his mini-concert raised more doubts about his mental well-being, even prompting a quip from Harris.
“Hope he’s alright,” Harris commented on the social media platform X.
Earlier this year, Trump made Biden’s age and mental condition a primary campaign topic. Concerns over Biden’s performance emerged from a debate on June 27, leading some Democrats to express worries about his capacity to compete against Trump in a general election and to govern effectively if reelected. Ultimately, Biden stepped out of the race and endorsed his vice president as a successor.
Although Trump continues to mock Biden, it seems this time the Democratic president took pleasure in calling out the GOP candidate following the town hall incident.
“Trump hasn’t changed,” Biden stated on Tuesday. “In fact, I’d argue he’s gotten worse.”
In response, Karoline Leavitt, the Republican nominee’s press secretary, shot back, saying, “Joe Biden’s opinions are no longer relevant. That’s why his own party pushed him off the ballot.”
