Biden Unplugged: A Candid Conversation with YSL News’s Susan Page on His Legacy and the 2024 Election

Joe Biden discusses his legacy and the upcoming 2024 election in a special interview with YSL News’s Susan Page

WASHINGTON – On Sunday, Susan Page, the Washington Bureau Chief for YSL News, had an exclusive conversation with outgoing President Joe Biden regarding his legacy, the forthcoming 2024 election, and other topics.

This 55-minute interview, set to be released on Wednesday, is Biden’s sole interview with a print outlet as he gears up to leave office on January 20.

In recent months, Biden has notably reduced his public appearances.

Before he opted to end his reelection bid last summer, he had participated in fewer media interviews than any president since Ronald Reagan, based on a study conducted by presidential expert Martha Joynt Kumar.

Despite this, he is planning to give two significant speeches prior to leaving office, according to NBC News on Saturday. One will focus on foreign policy, and the other will be his farewell speech.

Additionally, Biden will travel to New Orleans on Monday to express condolences to the families of victims from the recent New Year’s Day attack and to meet with officials involved.

He will also preside over the state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday.

Susan Page is recognized for her exceptional journalism, having won every major award in presidential coverage. She has interviewed the last ten presidents, including three after they left office, and has covered seven different White House administrations.

In 2020, she made history by moderating the vice presidential debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris, becoming the first print journalist to serve as the solo moderator for the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Furthermore, Page is a best-selling author known for her books on notable figures such as Barbara Bush, Nancy Pelosi, and Barbara Walters.
