Billie Eilish declares she’ll never discuss her sexuality again after facing backlash

Billie Eilish has made a statement on her experiences with sexuality, mentioning she doesn’t plan to discuss it any further.

The “Ocean Eyes” artist graces the cover of Vogue’s November issue and reflects on her sexuality after receiving criticism for her candidness earlier this year.

“I wish no one knew about my sexuality or my dating life. Ever. I hope they never will again,” Eilish expressed to Vogue in an article released on Tuesday. “I’m never talking about my sexuality or who I’m dating again.”

Eilish stirred up controversy in April with her frank remarks about sex in a Rolling Stone interview.

“I talk about sex whenever possible,” she stated. “It’s my favorite topic. As a woman, I’ve noticed that society views it very differently. People become uncomfortable discussing it, and are often taken aback when women express their sexuality confidently.”

In the recent Vogue chat, Eilish, 22, admitted she often “underestimates how the things I say can become worldwide news,” telling the magazine that “we’re all still growing and figuring ourselves out.”

However, Eilish is not silent on the topic of the 2024 presidential election featuring former President Donald Trump against Vice President Kamala Harris. She endorsed Harris via an Instagram video alongside her brother Finneas on National Voter Registration Day, stating her commitment to human rights, women’s rights, and social justice reforms.

Eilish, who stands with fellow celebrities like Taylor Swift in supporting Harris for the upcoming November 5 election, expressed her rationale for backing Harris.

“Many of my fans will vote for the first time, and I want to ask them, ‘Do you value freedom?'” Eilish remarked. “It would be incredible to have a female president. I wish to feel secure as a woman in my country.”
