Video shows Brittany Furlan springing into action as coyote snatches dog from backyard
A dog owner took quick action when a coyote grabbed her pet.
Brittany Furlan, an actress and internet influencer married to Mötley Crüe’s drummer Tommy Lee, shared on Instagram Tuesday the alarming footage from her Ring camera captured at her California residence.
Prior to the video, Furlan explained that she had let her dog, Neena, outside. Suddenly, a coyote snatched her during the day.
“Please watch over your dogs,” Furlan cautioned in her post. “I’ve been living here for four years without seeing a coyote, and then this happened today.”
A protective mother saves her dog from a coyote
The camera footage on Furlan’s page shows her shouting and racing after the coyote that took Neena.
Like a mother bear shielding her cub, Furlan bravely leaped into action.
“I climbed the wall and pulled her out of its mouth,” Furlan recounted. “Thank goodness she’s a bit plump because he couldn’t jump over the wall with her. If she were smaller, she would have been gone.”
In the footage, you can hear Furlan exclaiming, “A coyote has taken Neena!”
Her husband then appears in the video, and she urges him, “We can’t leave the dogs outside!”
“This happened in broad daylight at 1 p.m. (Coyotes) are becoming bolder and hungrier,” she expressed. “Please stay vigilant. I won’t let the dogs outside anymore. This is outrageous. Hold your pets a little tighter.”
Furlan confirmed that Neena is now safe.
From viral fame to a new life
Furlan gained recognition for her viral clips on Vine and won the Viner of the Year award at the Streamy Awards in 2014.
She wed Lee, the drummer for Mötley Crüe, in 2019.
Brittany and Tommy were both seen in the footage during the tense moment.
