New York Model Arrested for Deadly Stabbing in the Bronx
A model from New York, known for her appearances at high-profile events and advertising campaigns for brands like Calvin Klein and Levi’s, was detained in the Bronx on Sunday. She is accused of fatally stabbing a 35-year-old father in his Bronx apartment last week.
Dynus Saxon, 20, appeared in Bronx Criminal Court on Friday to face serious charges including second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and illegal weapon possession in connection with the killing of Kadeem Grant on November 10. A future hearing is scheduled for December 3.
Officials from the police and prosecutors’ office have not responded to requests from YSL News for additional information and comments regarding the case. Images from the court appearance showed Saxon with a considerable bandage on her right hand, and law enforcement stated she was bleeding from a wound when they arrived at the location following a 911 call.
According to the New York Daily News, Grant was reportedly stabbed in the neck and chest while resting on a couch in the apartment of another individual. Although authorities have not disclosed a motive for the attack, detectives suspect that at least two of the individuals involved shared a romantic relationship, possibly leading to a love triangle that instigated the incident.
Furthermore, police speculate that Saxon might have “just snapped” without any clear motive, as per the Daily News report.
If the charges are validated, this incident marks a dramatic downward trajectory for Saxon, who has previously walked the red carpet at major film premieres, including “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “The Batman,” as reported by the New York Post.
Grant’s father, Christopher, traveled from Florida to New York to address this heartbreaking situation. He shared with the Daily News that his son leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter.
“He was a caring young man who always supported his family and daughter,” Grant said. “It’s tragic that she will have to grow up without her father.”
