The nonprofit notes that over 30,000 theaters across the United States will be joining in the fun, providing discounts on popcorn and various concessions.

Here’s a rundown of the National Popcorn Day deals for 2025.
Unlimited Popcorn at AMC, Plus 50% Off a Popcorn Bag
AMC Theatres has announced a special deal on its AMC Perfectly Popcorn for this year.
On Sunday, customers can purchase any size of popcorn and enjoy unlimited refills, according to the theater chain’s news release.
AMC is also collaborating with DoorDash and Uber Eats to deliver popcorn straight to customers’ homes, offering $5 off orders of $20 or more.
Customers can find AMC’s ready-to-eat popcorn at Walmart, Kroger, and Publix, along with selected regional grocery stores. Buying AMC popcorn at these locations will also grant customers a $3 discount on their next movie ticket. This also applies to the AMC Cinnamon Butter popcorn.
In addition to these offers, AMC has year-long AMC Stubs benefits. Members of AMC Stubs can receive free popcorn refills with large purchases throughout the year. Depending on their tier within AMC Stubs, members may also get a free large drink and popcorn combo on their birthday, complementary size upgrades, and earn rewards points for every dollar spent.
In its announcement, AMC Theatres indicated that customers purchasing any size popcorn on National Popcorn Day will receive a 50% discount on its Loungefly Crossbody Popcorn Bag. Originally priced at $79.99 plus tax, it will be available for $40 plus tax this Sunday.
The bag can be found at most AMC locations across the country.
Bring Your Own Bucket to Cinemark for Just $5
Cinemark is running a “BYOBucket” event where patrons can pay $5 to fill any clean popcorn container, as long as it’s not larger than 400 ounces, equivalent to two XL popcorns.
Additionally, all XL popcorn will be available at $5 on Sunday.
Only on Sunday, followers of Cinemark on Instagram who tag three friends in the chain’s National Popcorn Day giveaway post will have the chance to win a complimentary large popcorn.
