Celebrated soccer player Alex Morgan shared her retirement news on Thursday; she will play her final match on Sunday.
Alex Morgan, an esteemed soccer athlete in America, revealed her retirement on Thursday. Throughout her impressive 14-year career, Morgan was a crucial member of the U.S. Women’s National Team.
At 35 years old, Morgan has played 11 seasons in the National Women’s Soccer League and has been with the San Diego Wave since 2022.
Making her debut for the USWNT in March 2010, Morgan has been an integral player on the front line, contributing to the U.S. victories in two consecutive World Cups in 2015 and 2019, as well as earning gold at the 2012 London Olympics and bronze at the Tokyo Games in 2021.
Morgan is among the top ten players in USWNT history for goals, assists, and multi-goal matches.
