Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s Long Journey to Divorce Finally Coming to a Close

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce is almost finalized after six years

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s lengthy divorce process is coming to a conclusion after almost six years.

On Wednesday, attorneys for the former couple submitted a mutual agreement for the judge to approve, moving closer to finalizing their divorce. According to documents obtained by YSL News, Tatum and Dewan’s representatives confirmed they have reached a written accord that settles “all remaining issues in this case.”

The couple has agreed on how to divide their assets and address child and spousal support matters. They share an 11-year-old daughter named Everly Tatum and have both moved on to new relationships, with both parties waiving spousal support.

The attorneys requested that the judge seal the new agreement, ensuring it won’t be publicly available when submitted to the court.

YSL News has reached out for statements from both Dewan and Tatum’s representatives.

Dewan, who appears on ABC’s “The Rookie,” is engaged to musician Steve Kazee, and they have two children together. Tatum is reportedly engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz, according to sources from Today and People magazine. He recently starred in her directorial debut, “Blink Twice,” which hit theaters last month.

Kravitz shared her experiences of working alongside her partner with YSL News.

“Chan’s instinct is to try and fix everything,” she noted. “He wants to take care of me, so when I’m upset or stressed, his immediate reaction is to make it better. Sometimes that only frustrated me more, because I just needed someone to listen! But we learned to communicate better, saying, ‘What do you need right now?’ Our bond grew stronger through those experiences.”

Discussions over ‘Magic Mike’ brought tension between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

Dewan initiated the divorce from Tatum in October 2018 after almost nine years of marriage. This occurred six months after they announced their separation, clarifying that their decision was not due to any secrets or scandal.

The former “Step Up” co-stars were declared legally single in November 2019, but have since been negotiating the terms regarding their assets.

In the earlier stages of their negotiations, Dewan’s legal team raised concerns about how to split the rights to the “Magic Mike” franchise, which encompasses films and live performances.

Tatum starred in the 2012 breakout film “Magic Mike,” inspired by his own experiences as a teen stripper. The film led to two sequels—”Magic Mike XXL” in 2015 and “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” in 2023—along with stage shows, a live Las Vegas presentation, and a short-lived reality series on Max.
