Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Chrysler Issues Recall for Over 200,000 Jeep and Dodge Vehicles Due to Antilock Brake System Concerns: Check Your Model!

Chrysler recalls more than 200,000 Jeep and Dodge vehicles over antilock brake system issues: Check which models are included

Chrysler is recalling 2018-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles due to a risk of malfunction in the antilock braking system.

As reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on November 7, a total of 206,502 vehicles may be impacted by this recall.

This recall affects 2018-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokees and 2018-2019 Dodge Durangos. A malfunction in the antilock brake system could result in incorrect activation of brake lights, as well as disabling of both the antilock brake mechanism and electronic stability control. Moreover, it’s possible for drivers to start the vehicle and shift out of park without pressing the brake pedal.

Chrysler has stated that there have been no reported accidents or injuries linked to this issue, and the braking performance of these vehicles remains intact, according to information from Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler.

This potential defect was found during a routine analysis of warranty data by the company, prompting an internal investigation, as indicated in their statement.

What should you do if your vehicle is recalled?

For assistance, owners can contact the FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number relevant to this issue is 94B.

A solution for the recall is still being developed, meaning Chrysler has not yet formulated a fix for the identified problem.

Customers affected will be notified when the service is available, and the repairs will be at no cost.

What is the function of the antilock brake system?

The antilock brake system regulates brake pressure in emergency stops. This system pumps brakes rapidly instead of applying constant pressure, preventing the wheels from locking up and allowing the driver to maintain control of the vehicle during sudden stops. Antilock brake systems were made mandatory in 2012.
