The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has revealed its lineup earlier than usual this year.

Headliners for this year’s event include Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone, with Travis Scott returning for a Saturday night performance.

The festival is set to take place on April 11-13 and April 18-20 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Other exciting performers include Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, The Original Misfits, Gustavo Dudamel & LA Phil, The Go-Gos, and many more.

Additionally, Jennie and Lisa from the former headliners BLACKPINK will be showcasing their talents as solo artists.

However, Coachella’s website states that “passes are no longer available” for the 2025 festival, although they haven’t officially called it “sold out.”

Previous Coachella Headliners

Lady Gaga has headlined Coachella only once, in 2017, when she stepped in for Beyoncé due to her pregnancy.

Travis Scott also made his only appearance at Coachella that same year. He had been slated to headline in 2020, which was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, claimed he intended to invite Scott to join him during his 2022 Coachella set but stated he would only perform if Billie Eilish apologized for her comments regarding a crowd tragedy at Scott’s Astroworld Festival.

Ultimately, Ye did not perform at the 2022 festival, and his slot was filled by Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd, who shared the closing performance on the final day.

Green Day will mark its first appearance at Coachella this spring, although frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has previously contributed as a special guest with The Replacements.

Post Malone took the stage at the festival in 2014.

His last appearance at Coachella was in 2018, and he made a surprise guest appearance during Bad Bunny’s historic set at Weekend 1 of Coachella 2023. Most recently, he performed at Stagecoach 2024 held at the Empire Polo Club, featuring numerous special guests.

What prompted the early Coachella lineup announcement this year?

In the past, the Los Angeles-based promoter Goldenvoice has typically shared the complete Coachella festival lineup in early January.

However, an early announcement became likely on Tuesday when Post Malone, the rapper and singer-songwriter, teased his participation for both weekends of the festival through an Instagram post advertising his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” scheduled for 2025.

The first two dates on his poster mentioned “APR 13 INDIO, CA” and “APR 20 INDIO, CA.”

This tour is classified as an arena tour, and Indio lacks any arenas or other venues capable of accommodating the crowds that arenas would typically hold—aside from the large field where the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals are hosted, specifically the Empire Polo Club.

Additionally, Goldenvoice’s social media team removed all posts from their Instagram account, leaving only an April 22 update stating, “Advance Sale begins now. See you in the desert.”

They also shared a video in their Instagram Story of palm trees, presumably on the festival grounds, swaying in the wind. While the post had no accompanying text, it captured the attention of social media users, leading to speculation about the lineup on the account’s single remaining post.
