Live Updates: Colorado vs. Nebraska—Watch, Predictions, Odds, NCAA Football Scores for Today
LINCOLN, Neb. – Coach Deion Sanders and his Colorado football squad are aiming for another impressive start as they face significant rivals in front of large national TV audiences.
This matchup, however, presents their toughest challenge yet. The Buffaloes take on Nebraska at Memorial Stadium, where around 90,000 fans are expected for a sold-out game. Tune in live on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET for this exciting prime-time event featuring Coach Prime and his flashy team.
The flair comes from quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who racked up 445 passing yards and four touchdowns in last week’s 31-26 victory over North Dakota State.
Adding to the excitement is Travis Hunter, a remarkable two-way player who caught three of those TD passes and hardly left the field, playing just two snaps off during offense and defense, as reported by Pro Football Focus.
On the other side, Nebraska is looking to win their second game of the season, something they haven’t achieved since 2016. They will be starting true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola, a highly regarded recruit who completed 19 of 27 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns in a dominant 40-7 win over Texas-El Paso.
A Nebraska victory would mark their first win against Colorado since 2010, during their shared time in the Big 12 Conference. If Colorado secures a win, it would be their third consecutive victory over Nebraska since 2018, allowing the Buffaloes (1-0) to aim for a 3-0 start for the second year in a row, with all wins showcased on national television just like last season.
Next week, the Buffs are scheduled to face their rivals, Colorado State, on CBS.

Deion Sanders Faces a Chilly Reception in Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. – Colorado’s coach Deion Sanders didn’t receive a friendly welcome from the Nebraska fans prior to the game. Approaching the field about 65 minutes before kickoff, he encountered a large group of supporters gathered along his route. After entering the field through the end zone with security, he jogged towards the Nebraska student section, which welcomed him with a disrespectful chant:
“(Expletive) CU.”
Sanders, 57, is no stranger to such receptions; he was here as a player for Florida State in 1986, where he recorded four tackles in a game Nebraska won 34-17.
Final Game of the Colorado-Nebraska Contract
This matchup is the conclusion of a four-game agreement signed back in 2012 between these rivals. Colorado emerged victorious in the first three encounters: in Nebraska in 2019, at home in 2019, and again at home in 2023, when the Buffaloes triumphed 36-14.
There are currently no announced plans for the two teams to meet again in the future.
As former members of the Big Eight and Big 12 Conferences, Colorado and Nebraska faced each other each year from 1948 to 2010. Their departure from the Big 12 to join other conferences prompted the need for a contract to continue their rivalry.
Nebraska holds the historical advantage in this series, leading 49-21-2.
Contrasting Coaching Styles: Deion Sanders vs. Matt Rhule
Saturday’s game between Colorado and Nebraska raises a pivotal question about the evolving landscape of college football:
What is the best way to build a successful team in today’s game?
Both head coaches, Deion Sanders of Colorado and Matt Rhule of Nebraska, started their tenures around the same time in late 2022. However, they have taken very different approaches in their efforts to rebuild their respective teams.
