Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus shares news of her pregnancy
The family of Snoop Dogg is about to welcome a new member.
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, announced her pregnancy with her first child during an interview with E! News published on Monday. The 25-year-old is expecting a baby with her fiancé, Wayne Duece.
“I found out on October 28,” Broadus explained. “This baby wasn’t planned, but we feel so incredibly blessed.”
Previously, Broadus has talked about her struggles with lupus and mentioned that her pregnancy is considered high risk. However, she affirmed that “God has his hands on me, and both the baby and I are doing just fine.”
Broadus revealed that she and Duece are going to have a daughter. Her parents, Snoop Dogg and mother Shante Broadus, are “so excited,” although Snoop had hoped for a grandson.
“I can’t wait to show my baby girl love and help her feel like she’s the most beautiful in the world,” Broadus said. “As a child, I struggled with confidence and never felt like I belonged, so I want to make sure she grows up feeling appreciated and valued.”
She continued: “Wayne is thrilled to have a daughter who resembles me. He believes she will be stunning, and he is eager to create a wonderful life for her and shower her with love.”
Broadus and Duece have been a couple since 2018 and became engaged in 2022. Viewers got a closer look at their relationship and wedding preparations in the E! docuseries “Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story,” which premiered earlier this month.
The series features an emotional scene where Broadus tries on her wedding dress designed by Michael Costello. She relates her feelings of insecurity in the dress to the doubts she has experienced in her relationship.
“I fight with my self-esteem every single day,” she shared. “It’s strange to think that Wayne proposed to me, and I often wonder, ‘Why? What do you see in me?’ Trying on the dress brought me back to that mindset.”
