Tim Walz’s motorcade crash in Milwaukee involves press vans
On Monday afternoon, while heading to a campaign event at Henry Maier Festival Park, press vans trailing Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz were involved in an accident in Milwaukee.
Walz’s vehicle was unaffected and continued toward Summerfest, where he is set to address attendees at LaborFest. Meanwhile, some press vans and Democratic Representative Gwen Moore’s vehicle pulled over, and several individuals were assessed for injuries at the scene.
A reporter and photographer from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel were present among the media in the vans.
The incident occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 43, just north of the Layton Avenue exit.
Information about the injured individuals and the cause of the crash is not yet available.
