Damar Hamlin Records First Career Interception During Bills’ MNF Match Against Jaguars
Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has come a remarkable distance since he suffered a cardiac arrest on January 2, 2023. After returning to the field last season, he was named a starter this year and notably achieved his first career interception on Monday.
In the second quarter of Buffalo’s dominating 47-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hamlin intercepted a wayward pass from Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Hamlin celebrated his interception enthusiastically, marking this achievement as it was his first in 37 regular-season games.
Before facing the Jaguars in Week 3 on Monday, Hamlin’s career stats included 109 tackles, four defended passes, and one forced fumble across four NFL seasons.
The cardiac arrest incident involving Hamlin drew widespread attention and brought the sports community together.
