A rescuer entered a 14-foot deep hole in Florida to assist a dog that had fallen inside.

Bella, the dog, was saved shortly after 7 p.m. on October 1, after her owner informed the authorities about her fall into an “approximately 14-foot deep hole” in Ocala, according to a post from the Marion County Fire Rescue on Facebook.

When officials arrived, they located Bella stuck in the hole and proceeded to lower a rescuer into the cave to bring her out.

Footage from the rescue shows the rescuer secured in a harness, being lowered slowly into the hole using a fire truck’s ladder. After Bella was safely secured, both the rescuer and the dog were lifted back to the ground.

“Firefighters lifted her out of the cave and safely returned her to her owner,” the post stated.

It remains unclear how Bella ended up in the hole, and the Marion County Fire Rescue has not yet responded to YSL News’s inquiry for more details about the situation.
