Get Involved in Designing Celebrity’s Latest Cruise Ship. Here’s How.
Celebrity Cruises is offering guests the unique opportunity to not only plan their next trip but also contribute to the design of its upcoming cruise ship.
The cruise line’s Xcel “Dream Makers” program invites travelers to participate in testing and voting for features on the new Celebrity Xcel. This ship, the fifth in the popular Edge Series, will launch in November from Fort Lauderdale and operate week-long cruises with destinations including the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
“We aim to make sure our guests truly enjoy our offerings, and involving them in creating the Celebrity Xcel is a fantastic approach to achieve that,” stated Michael Scheiner, the chief marketing and product officer of the cruise line, in a news release. “Celebrity Cruises is recognized for its pioneering ship designs and unique at-sea experiences, and when Xcel debuts, our guests won’t just find their perfect escape; they’ll have played a role in its creation.”
Participants will engage in online surveys and face-to-face events, sharing their opinions on various aspects such as the ship’s interior aesthetics and dining options. They will have a say in menu items, entertainment choices—including costumes and props—and table settings, among others.
The program is set to begin on February 8. There’s no fee to participate, and the initiative is open to residents aged 21 and older from the U.S., Canada (excluding Quebec), the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand, as mentioned on Celebrity’s website.
