New Charges Against Diddy Include Coercing Women into Sexual Acts, Updated Indictment States
Sean “Diddy” Combs is now facing more serious charges of sexual abuse and racketeering, according to a newly updated indictment in his ongoing criminal proceedings.
After his arrest in September 2024, Combs was already facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and facilitating prostitution. Now, a revised indictment submitted in the Southern District of New York accuses him of exploiting three women as part of his alleged sex trafficking network.
“The Combs Enterprise, including Combs and his associates, used their power and influence to intimidate, threaten, and attract female victims, often under the guise of romantic relationships,” the indictment states, according to documents reviewed by YSL News.
The initial indictment, filed on September 12, 2024, described Combs as having turned his expansive business empire into a “criminal enterprise” where he and his affiliates were involved in kidnapping, arson, physical violence, sex trafficking, and forced labor, among other unlawful activities.
The updated indictment claims that Combs allegedly employed “force, threats of force, and coercion” to make three unnamed women participate in “commercial sex acts.” In return, he purportedly offered them “money, job opportunities, and assistance with rent and living expenses.”
Combs is currently held at the Special Housing Unit in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and has denied all accusations against him. His trial is set to commence on May 5.
Diddy’s Lawyer Critiques ‘Absurd’ Indictment
In a statement to YSL News, Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, criticized the amended indictment, arguing that it doesn’t introduce any new charges in the rapper’s case.
“The prosecution’s argument is still misguided,” Agnifilo commented. “They even suggest that two of Mr. Combs’ past girlfriends were actually not his girlfriends, but prostitutes. Mr. Combs is fully dedicated to contesting these allegations and achieving victory in court.”
Diddy Allegedly Paid $100,000 for Hotel Footage of Assault on Cassie
Prosecutors assert in the updated indictment that Combs allegedly tried to hide his assault on former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016 through bribery.
The controversial music mogul, who had a relationship with the “Me & U” artist from 2007 to 2018, was captured in leaked hotel surveillance footage kicking, hitting, and dragging Ventura down a corridor during a 2016 incident.
Following the assault, it is alleged that Combs and his associates paid the hotel’s security team $100,000 to keep the video, according to the indictment.
“When Combs’ reputation or authority faced potential harm from unfavorable publicity or legal actions, he and his associates pressured victims and witnesses—sometimes through bribery—to remain silent and not report their experiences to law enforcement,” the document states.
Although Combs apologized for his actions against Ventura in a May 2024 video, his defense claimed in November that a manipulated version of the footage was used in court to undermine Combs’ chances for bail.
Prosecutors: Diddy Involved in Alleged Kidnappings and Drug Crimes
The updated indictment claims that Combs’ “criminal organization” allegedly functioned from around 2004 to 2024, engaging in activities like kidnapping and drug trafficking.
According to the indictment, Combs and his associates are said to have participated in “multiple kidnapping incidents,” which can be prosecuted under various laws in New York and California.
Prosecutors also allege that the organization committed numerous offenses related to the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics and controlled substances—including cocaine, oxycodone, ketamine, psilocin, and methamphetamine.
In a separate letter to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian on Thursday, prosecutors indicated that their investigation into Combs is still “active and ongoing.”
