YSL News is set to honor outstanding workplace culture through the Top Workplaces USA award, recognizing entities that excel in prioritizing their employees in 2025.

Organizations with a minimum of 150 staff members are eligible to apply. Employees will assess their workplaces using a 25-question survey, available until the end of September.

Being recognized as a top employer can enhance an organization’s appeal to talent, promoting its performance and success.

“A strong workplace culture is vital for building a remarkable organization where the business, its employees, and everyone supporting its mission can thrive,” stated Caren Bohan, Interim Editor in Chief of YSL News. “We take pride in celebrating those companies that foster environments where their staff can flourish.”

In collaboration with YSL News, Energage—based in Pennsylvania—executes the Top Workplaces surveys for media across 65 U.S. markets, surveying over 2 million employees from more than 8,000 organizations in the last year.

This year, YSL News recognized over 1,500 employers nationwide, with winners attending a celebratory event in New York City.

In 2025, there will be a celebration for Top Workplaces USA winners at Resorts World in Las Vegas.

Here’s everything you need to know for participating in the 2025 awards:

How can I qualify? Any organization can be nominated regardless of being public, private, non-profit, a school, or a government body, as long as they have 150 or more employees in the U.S. To nominate a company, visit topworkplaces.com/usatoday.

What’s the nomination deadline? Nominations must be submitted by Sept. 27.

Is there a fee for participation? No, there is no cost to participate. Winning organizations receive the prestigious Top Workplaces USA badge.

When will the winners be revealed? The names of the winning organizations will be published in March 2025.

Why should we take part? The Top Workplaces USA initiative showcases businesses that are dedicated to understanding and prioritizing their employees. In a rapidly changing job market, where many can still work from home at least occasionally, being recognized as a top workplace makes a company more attractive to potential hires.

Do customers care about this? Just as employees prefer to work at companies with positive work environments, customers and stakeholders are keen to associate with businesses that align with their values.

Who were the winners in 2024? The top awards in 2024 went to companies such as a mortgage lending firm from Wisconsin, an accounting and consulting service from Michigan, a staffing agency for travel nursing, another mortgage lending company from California, and a credit union based in Utah. Energage listed the top 100 employers in each category and provided the remaining winners in alphabetical order.
