Disney Cruise Line Unveils Four More Upcoming Ships

Disney Cruise Line has revealed plans for four new ships.

However, these aren’t the ships you might be expecting.

We already anticipated the arrival of the Disney Treasure this December, followed by the Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny launching next year. Additionally, Disney is collaborating with Oriental Land Company, the owner of Tokyo Disney Resort, to create a new OLC ship inspired by the Disney Wish.

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which took place on Saturday night, four more ships were announced. These will debut between 2027 and 2031. Combined with the previously announced vessels, these additions will effectively double the size of Disney Cruise Line’s fleet within less than ten years.

According to Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, “Our current cruise fleet is in high demand, which presents a great opportunity for us to invest significantly in adding new ships.” Presently, there are five ships in the fleet.

Disney Cruise Line has gained immense popularity among Disney devotees, particularly families.

D’Amaro stated, “We find that around 40-50% of our guests are primarily cruising because Disney is involved, creating a unique space for us.” He added, “Our guests have fantastic experiences with us, rate us highly, and often return for more.”

He mentioned that these new ships would broaden Disney’s reach.

Speaking about the Disney Adventure, which will be the company’s first ship to cruise Southeast Asia, he said, “This will allow our fleet to meet our fans in their locales and share all the incredible stories we hold.”
