Unveiling the Brilliant Hues of Electrons: Insights from Electron Imaging

Surfaces play a key role in numerous chemical reactions, including catalysis and corrosion. Understanding the atomic structure of the surface of a functional material is essential for both engineers and chemists. Researchers used atomic-resolution secondary electron (SE) imaging to capture the atomic structure of the very top layer of materials to better understand the differences

Drew Lock Reflects on Being Overlooked for Giants’ Starting Quarterback Role: “A Unique Scenario”

Drew Lock reflects on being overlooked for Giants’ QB position: ‘It’s an intriguing circumstance’

The New York Giants are set to return from their bye week in Week 12, facing off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. The Giants have suffered five consecutive losses, with their latest defeat being a 20-17 overtime game against the Carolina Panthers in Munich.

With the Giants averaging a dismal 15.6 points per game, the team has opted to switch up their quarterback for this week. Daniel Jones has been benched in favor of Tommy DeVito as the Giants gear up for their last seven games.

DeVito will take over the starting role, pushing offseason acquisition Drew Lock to the bench, while Jones will act as the emergency third string. Lock signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Giants and has served as Jones’ backup for the first 11 weeks of the season.

Despite being in backup position, Lock shared his thoughts on the team’s choice of DeVito as the starter.

Drew Lock comments on Tommy DeVito starting

“This team needs a win, and once we start winning, everything will feel a bit brighter around here.”

Lock’s last starting game was with the Seattle Seahawks, where he led them to a 20-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football on December 18.

Reasons Drew Lock isn’t the starter

Giants head coach Brian Daboll explained via a post on the team’s X account that they decided to go with DeVito “after reviewing and analyzing a lot of tape.”

Lock participated in just one of the Giants’ three preseason games, throwing 4 completions on 10 attempts for 17 yards and one interception in limited play.

Drew Lock’s professional stats

Over five seasons, Lock has played in 30 games for three teams: the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Giants. He was drafted by the Broncos as the 42nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Throughout his career, he has completed 472 of 794 passes (59.4%), amassing 5,289 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions. He has also rushed 78 times for 312 yards and five touchdowns.

Additionally, the Giants have added quarterback Tim Boyle to the practice squad. Boyle has been taking snaps ahead of Jones during the team’s initial practice of the week.
