After almost 25 years of running, the newest season of “Survivor” is set to air this week.
A total of eighteen fresh contestants, who are all unfamiliar with each other, will arrive on the beach during the Season 47 premiere of this iconic reality show on CBS.
The players will be marooned on an island in Fiji, where they will collaborate to construct shelter and hunt for food while also competing against each other in both group and solo challenges, all vying for a grand prize of $1 million and the title of “sole survivor.”
Since its debut in 2000, “Survivor” has seen Jeff Probst as the host throughout all 47 seasons.

The premiere of “Survivor” Season 47 will feature a two-hour episode airing at 8 p.m. PT/ET on Wednesday, September 18 on CBS.
Following the premiere, episodes will be 90 minutes long.

Episodes will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ for those with a Showtime subscription, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers can watch on-demand the following day.

‘Survivor’ Season 47 cast
CBS revealed the cast for “Survivor” Season 47 earlier this month.
True to the show’s tradition, the contestants are diverse, coming from all over the country and various backgrounds, including an ER doctor, a flight attendant, a construction worker, and an E-Sports commentator.
One notable cast member this season is Jon Lovett, a podcaster and co-founder of Crooked Media, who previously worked as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama.
The 18 participants will need to collaborate to build shelters, create alliances, and win challenges while strategizing to eliminate each other from the game.
