‘Emily in Paris’ Season 4 Part 2: Release Date, Cast, and Where to Enjoy Emily’s European Adventures
Although Netflix’s delightful romantic comedy is named “Emily in Paris,” the second half of Season 4 is transporting both Emily and viewers to the enchanting city of Rome.
Netflix mentions, “Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is due for an update on her language-learning app because her adventures in Europe will now take her to Rome,” highlighting that her visit to the Italian capital is a tribute to the iconic Audrey Hepburn.
Darren Star, the series creator, shared with Netflix’s Tudum that he sees a strong connection between Collins and Hepburn, as well as the essence of their films being reflected in the show.
“I’ve always felt a lovely relationship, not only between Lily and Audrey Hepburn, but also with the charm of those classic films, reminiscent of ‘Old Hollywood,’ and how it relates to Emily in Paris,” explained Star. “Audrey Hepburn excelled in capturing this ambiance in her films like ‘Roman Holiday’ and ‘Charade,’ which were sophisticated romantic comedies set in international locales.”
Collins revealed to Tudum that for her, this season marks a time when Emily experiences real vulnerability.
“In Season 4, Emily is feeling a broader range of emotions — everyone is,” Collins stated. “There’s a greater level of honesty and openness in their various circumstances.”
