The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is expanding its fleet.

The luxury line’s newest addition, Ilma, has set sail on its first journey as of Monday. This ship, which is named after the Maltese term for water, will be exploring the Mediterranean during its first season.

Measuring 790 feet in length, Ilma surpasses its predecessor, the 624-foot Evrima, which debuted in 2022.

“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ilma into our expanding fleet,” stated Jim Murren, executive chairman and CEO, in a press release. “Since the launch of Evrima, we have committed to providing exceptional experiences at sea. Ilma represents our ongoing dedication to offering world-class service and unforgettable enjoyment for our guests.”

Ilma’s Destinations

This ship, which accommodates 448 guests, will cruise through both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, as well as Northern Europe, offering trips that range from three to 13 nights. Its inaugural week-long journey from Monte Carlo, Monaco, to Rome, Italy, will include stops in Saint-Tropez, France; Bastia on Corsica; and Livorno in Tuscany.

Onboard Amenities

Despite being a smaller vessel, Ilma offers a diverse range of dining options. Guests can choose from five different restaurants, seven bars, and a wine vault.

Among the restaurants, two have been designed by chefs from Michelin-starred establishments. The fine dining spot, Seta su Ilma by Chef Fabio Trabocchi, focuses on seasonal tasting menus accompanied by a selection of primarily Italian wines. Meanwhile, the Beach House takes inspiration from beach clubs, offering a menu of Pan-Latin dishes, craft beer, and an extensive tequila selection, with contributions from Chef Michael Mina.

The Living Room serves coffee and pastries in the mornings and transitions to cocktails, champagne, and wine in the evenings, all set to the backdrop of live music.

Ilma is also equipped with two pools—one of which is an infinity pool located at the stern—along with a spa and fitness center. Guests can enjoy direct access to the water for snorkeling and kayaking activities via the ship’s marina, or relax with a drink at the adjacent Marina Terrace.

Each of Ilma’s 224 suites come with private terraces for guest enjoyment.

Cruise Pricing on Ilma

2024 cruise prices vary based on sailing dates, suite categories, and other criteria, beginning at approximately $5,200 to $14,900 per person, based on double occupancy.
