Todd Golden, the men’s basketball coach at Florida, has been accused of sexual harassment and stalking women, as reported by the Gainesville Sun and other news sources.

A Title IX complaint was filed regarding Golden’s actions on September 27, claiming that his behavior may have breached the university’s Gender Equity Policy. The Gainesville Sun, part of the YSL News Network, obtained a copy of this complaint.

The Alligator, Florida’s student publication, was the first to disclose the details of the complaint in an article published on Friday.

Golden, aged 39, is in his third season with the Florida Gators and previously served three years as the head coach at San Francisco.

According to the Title IX complaint, Golden is accused of sexual exploitation, harassment, and stalking, with these incidents reportedly occurring over the span of a year. The allegations include “unwanted sexual advances on Instagram, soliciting sexual favors, sending images and videos of his genitalia while traveling for UF, and various instances of stalking.”

<p”In response to inquiries regarding the Title IX complaint, university spokesperson Cynthia Roldan Hernandez stated, “To adhere to federal law, the university cannot discuss or confirm any Title IX inquiries, complaints, or investigations.”

The Alligator reported that it interviewed two women, both former students, who confirmed the information found in the Title IX complaint. The complaint was submitted anonymously to the Gainesville Sun and other local media.

Under Golden’s leadership, the Gators finished last season with a record of 24-12, but they were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

This season, Florida has started strong with a 2-0 record and is set to face Grambling State on Monday.
