Ford Issues Recall for Nearly 400,000 Vehicles: Check Required Models
Ford Motor Company has announced multiple recalls impacting nearly 400,000 vehicles, which includes over 295,000 heavy-duty pickup trucks.
The automaker is recalling 295,449 examples of its 2020-2022 F-Super Duty models (F250, F350, F450, F550, and F600), along with the 2021-2022 F-650 and F750 trucks. This is due to potential biodiesel buildup on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could result in the high-pressure fuel pump failing, as stated in a recall report submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
A failure of this pump might lead to a loss of driving power, which raises the likelihood of a crash, according to NHTSA’s report.
Dealers will provide software updates for the powertrain control module at no cost. Notification letters to owners are set to be sent out on January 13. Those affected can reach out to Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, referencing recall number 24S78.

Ford Vehicles Recalled Due to Rearview Camera Issues
Ford is recalling 30,715 vehicles, including 2019 Flex SUVs, Fiesta subcompacts, and Lincoln MKT crossover wagons. The problem involves the rearview camera potentially showing a blank or distorted image, diminishing the driver’s visibility of the area behind the vehicle, and thereby increasing the risk of an accident, as reported by Ford to the NHTSA.
A solution is currently being developed. Notification letters are set to be mailed on February 3. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, referencing recall number 24S75.

Lincoln Nautilus SUVs Recalled for Window Issue
Ford is recalling 47,818 units of its 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus due to a potential malfunction in the automatic window reversal system. If an obstruction is detected, the window may not reverse properly, which can cause it to apply too much force, potentially pinching a driver or passenger and increasing the likelihood of injury, as per the NHTSA report.
Dealers will recalibrate both the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) free of charge to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Owners will be notified via letter on January 13. They can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, referring to recall number 24C43.

Recalled Ford and Lincoln Hybrid SUVs Due to Battery Concerns
Ford is recalling 20,484 hybrid electric SUVs, specifically the 2020-2024 Ford Escape and the 2021-2024 Lincoln Corsair. This recall arises from a potential manufacturing flaw in one or more high voltage battery cells, which could lead to an internal short circuit and battery failure. Such failure poses a fire risk or could cause a loss of driving power, heightening the risk of an accident, Ford has reported to the NHTSA.
Dealers will update the battery energy control module (BECM) software and replace the high voltage battery pack if needed, at no cost to owners. Notification letters are expected to be mailed on January 20, 2025. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, with recall number 24S79.
