Is this the catch of the year? Garrett Wilson’s stunning touchdown reception during Thursday Night Football
The New York Jets took the lead with a touchdown on “Thursday Night Football” against the Ho
The Houston Texans scored a touchdown with a 26-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Garrett Wilson.
Initially, the play was called back because it seemed that Wilson hadn’t managed to get both feet in bounds. However, upon reviewing the play, it was determined that Wilson’s knee touched down on the edge of the end zone just before his shin did. In football terms, if one shin hits the ground, it’s considered as good as one knee touching down; hence, this counts as two feet and a touchdown.
Wilson made an impressive catch by reaching up with one hand for the ball. He successfully got his left foot in bounds while making sure to have his left shin touch down too.
Before stepping out of bounds, the catch was remarkable.
From the field level and at game speed, it looked even more impressive.
This effort to score the decisive touchdown in a critical home game positions it as an early contender for catch of the year.
