This weekend, award-winning actor Martin Short is set to host “Saturday Night Live” at Rockefeller Plaza for the show’s tenth episode of its 50th season.

This appearance is Short’s third time emceeing the iconic comedy program, following his recent success.

The 74-year-old first joined the NBC late-night show as a cast member between 1984 and 1985. Most recently, he co-hosted an episode in December 2022 during Season 48, alongside fellow comedian Steve Martin, who is 79.

Short has earned a nomination for best actor in a comedy at the 2025 Golden Globes for his role in “Only Murders in the Building,” a murder mystery series set in New York that has just completed its fourth season on Hulu.

 

Previously, comedian Chris Rock hosted SNL, with musician Gracie Abrams performing as the musical guest.
