“Get Ready for More Duck Dynasty: A&E Announces Exciting Summer Reboot with Two Fresh Seasons!”

A&E set to launch ‘Duck Dynasty’ reboot this summer with two new seasons

“Duck Dynasty” is making a comeback on A&E this summer.

The network revealed the reboot of the beloved series on Wednesday through a press release, stating that it will showcase the Robertson family as they “navigate the future of Duck Commander, support their children in marriage, parenting, and their own ventures, all while preserving the family legacy.”

The new series, titled “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” will feature family member Willie Robertson and his wife Korie, along with their large family of six kids residing on the family’s land in Louisiana. Plus, fan favorites Uncle Si and Miss Kay will also be returning. A&E has greenlit two seasons, each with 20 episodes, for the revival.

“Returning to A&E feels like coming back home. We’re grateful for everyone who has been with us as our family evolves and grows, and we can’t wait to start filming our new adventures, or perhaps some misadventures,” Willie and Korie Robertson expressed in a joint press announcement on Wednesday.

The original show featured the Robertson family, led by their outspoken patriarch Phil Robertson, running their Louisiana-based Duck Commander duck-calling business.

The return of the Robertsons to television coincides with President Donald Trump’s second term inauguration this week, following the ceremonies on Monday.

The adult children of the Robertsons – including “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Sadie Robertson and her siblings John Luke, Will, Bella, and Rebecca – along with their families, will join the cast.

‘Duck Dynasty’ comeback aligns with Trump’s second term

The family faced backlash and ignited national discussion in 2013 when Phil Robertson made anti-gay comments in an interview with GQ magazine, resulting in A&E placing him on an “indefinite hiatus.” Although he was removed from the series, the suspension was later lifted.

His son Willie also drew criticism after he spoke in support of then-candidate Trump during the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Shortly after the election in November 2016, when Trump was voted into office, the Robertson family announced the show’s conclusion set for April 2017.

In a statement issued at that time, A&E said: “After five years, 130 episodes, and one of the most successful shows in cable history, the Robertson family and A&E have mutually decided that ‘Duck Dynasty’ will conclude after this season.”
