The MTV Video Music Awards season is here, bringing a lineup of performances by popular artists.
This year, Megan Thee Stallion will host the event, making a mark in “Hot Girl History” as both MC and nominee, broadcasting live from UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
In addition to exciting performances by Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan, expect spectacular tributes and surprise appearances from top celebrities celebrating the best music videos of the previous year, as stated by MTV.
MTV will also contribute a portion of profits to 9/11 Day and Tuesday’s Children to honor the 23rd anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

When Are the 2024 MTV VMAs Scheduled?
The awards show will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, Sept. 11 on MTV. Other networks, including BET, BET Her, CMT, CC, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, and VH1, will also carry the event.
For the second consecutive year, MTV has partnered with TelevisaUnivision to braodcast simultaneously on Univision. There will be a rebroadcast of the awards show on UNIMÁS at 11:30 PM ET/PT.

Who Will Be Performing at the 2024 MTV VMAs?
A lineup of global music stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, LISA, Halsey, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, Benson Boone, Lenny Kravitz, Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J, and Shawn Mendes is set to perform.
Katy Perry will receive the MTV Video Vanguard Award and perform some of her greatest hits live, marking her first appearance on the MTV stage since 2017.
Who Are the Nominees for the 2024 MTV VMAs?
Taylor Swift leads the nominations again this year with 10 nominations, followed by Post Malone with nine. Eminem, Ariana Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter are tied with six nominations each, while Megan Thee Stallion and SZA each have five. LiSa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims also received four nominations each.
This year, there are 29 first-time VMA nominees who received multiple nominations, including Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Tyla, Sexyy Red, and Victoria Monét.
Newcomers also include Chappell Roan, Jelly Roll, Jessie Murph, Rauw Alejandro, Tyler Childers, The Warning, Alexander Stewart, Burna Boy, Coco Jones, Flyana Boss, Gracie Abrams, Gunna, Joyner Lucas, Laufey, LE SSERAFIM, Lojay, Morgan Wallen, Myke Towers, NCT Dream, Pheelz, Playboi Carti, RAYE, and Shaboozey.
