Grimes reveals she hasn’t seen one of her children in five months amid custody battle with Elon Musk
Grimes is currently in a custody disagreement with Elon Musk, who is among the wealthiest individuals globally.
Recently, the musician took to social media to discuss the challenges she’s facing in the custody dispute regarding their children.
“I spent a year fighting in a state with poor mothers’ rights, where my Instagram posts and modeling work were used against me as reasons I shouldn’t have my kids. I’ve been detaching from the love of my life, who feels unrecognizable to me now,” she shared on the platform X, which is owned by Musk.
Grimes expressed that she has “a fraction of his resources, intelligence, and strategic experience, yet I haven’t seen one of my babies for five months.”
The artist shares three children with Musk: X Æ A-Xii, who is 4 years old, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, who is 2.
“This is just what can be shared publicly,” Grimes continued in her post, “since much of my recent reality must stay confidential.”
The couple reached an agreement regarding custody in Texas last August, as per Business Insider, though the outcome of a countersuit Grimes filed in San Francisco against Musk remains uncertain.
In Musk’s initial filing, he claimed Grimes aimed to shift the proceedings to California for enhanced child support payments. After alleging that Musk was preventing her from seeing their children in a now-deleted tweet, Grimes filed her own countersuit to “establish parental relationship.” Both have been vying for primary decision-making authority over their kids.
Musk has five additional children: triplets with his ex-wife Justine Wilson and twins with Shivon Zilis, born shortly before Grimes’ youngest was born.
YSL News has contacted representatives for both Musk and Grimes for further comment.
Meanwhile, Musk has been engaged in discussions with prominent political figures and the presumed president. He has quickly risen as one of President-Elect Donald Trump’s key advisors after a successful fundraising campaign during the final days leading up to the election.
In collaboration with Vivek Ramaswamy, Musk has been appointed to lead a new government initiative: the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.
Both The Wall Street Journal and Axios reported that Trump invited Musk to participate in a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and to observe the selection process for cabinet appointments.
