Hailee Steinfeld expresses pride in Josh Allen during infrequent remarks about her fiancé
Hailee Steinfeld is feeling a sense of pride as her romance with fiancé Josh Allen blossoms.
In a recent interview with E! News released on Tuesday, the “Hawkeye” actress, 28, spoke highly of the Buffalo Bills quarterback, her partner.
“To say the least, I am incredibly proud of him and all that he has accomplished, along with everything his team has achieved,” she shared. “He’s the hardest working person I know.”
Steinfeld and Allen stirred up dating rumors in 2023 and officially went public with their relationship on Instagram in July 2024. They’ve kept their romance mostly private but announced their engagement in November through a heartfelt photo of the NFL player on one knee. They captioned their Instagram post with “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️,” showcasing Allen beneath a floral arch.
Allen opened up about their engagement in a conversation with Steinfeld featured in the December issue of her “Beau Society” newsletter.
“The most amusing part was when we woke up, got ready for brunch, and you bounced onto the bed asking, ‘Can we get married already?! What are you waiting for?!'” Allen recounted in the newsletter. “I told you, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know, I was on the brink of proposing.”
Despite his efforts to keep it a secret, Allen noted that Steinfeld was “extremely surprised” when he finally asked her. “I think I was most anxious about you discovering the proposal plans,” he admitted. “Keeping secrets from you while having others do the same was tough. There were times throughout the day a song would play, and I would get emotional thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
He also shared that while proposing, he said to Steinfeld, “‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I expressed my eagerness to start a family with you, used your full name, and politely asked. When you said yes, that was everything to me. Plus, the sun was shining.”
Although the Buffalo Bills quarterback won’t be participating in the Super Bowl, Steinfeld announced her involvement in a Super Bowl commercial for Novartis, aiming to raise awareness for breast cancer.
“It’s been a dream of mine to be featured in a Super Bowl commercial,” the “True Grit” star told YSL News Sports. “I can’t think of a more meaningful project to be part of than this one with Novartis.”
