Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Harris Reported in Prime Health Condition, with Minor Allergies Noted by White House Physician

White House physician confirms: Harris is ‘in excellent health,’ has allergies

WASHINGTON – According to a memo released Saturday morning by Dr. Joshua Simmons, Vice President Kamala Harris is reported to be “in excellent health.”

This memo, which summarizes a medical checkup from April, serves to highlight the contrast between Harris and her opponent, former President Donald Trump, who would be the oldest individual to assume the presidency and has provided limited information regarding his own health status.

In a post on X, Harris’s spokesperson Ian Sams shared the memo and added: “Your turn, @realDonaldTrump.”

Harris experiences seasonal allergies and urticaria, a form of chronic hives due to these allergies. She usually manages her symptoms with over-the-counter medications and has been following an allergen immunotherapy plan for the past three years, resulting in significant symptom alleviation.

The doctor also noted that she is slightly nearsighted and wears contact lenses. Additionally, she has a family background of colon cancer on her mother’s side but has not faced any serious health issues or undergone major surgeries as an adult.

Dr. Simmons emphasized that she leads “a healthy, active lifestyle” despite her hectic schedule, which includes daily aerobic workouts and strength training. She neither smokes nor excessively consumes alcohol, choosing to drink “only occasionally and in moderation.”

He concluded by stating that she has the “physical and mental resilience necessary to perform the responsibilities of the Presidency effectively.”

Age has been a critical concern during the campaign, particularly when President Joe Biden, who is 81, was still running as the Democratic candidate. Many voters expressed doubts about his age as a factor for the presidency, while similar concerns have been raised about Trump.

In November 2023, the Trump campaign issued a memo from his physician, Bruce Aronwald, declaring him to be in “excellent” health, noting his cognitive evaluations as “exceptional.” However, the memo did not specify the types of tests conducted or their results.

The former president has not made his medical records public, with the most comprehensive report shared dating back to January 2018.
