‘He talked about ideas for a plan’: Harris pokes fun at Trump during her first rally after the debate
GREENSBORO, N.C. – After her debate with Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris took the opportunity at her first campaign event to mock the former president for claiming he possesses the “ideas for a plan” to enhance healthcare in the U.S.
During the debate, Trump stated that he would only consider replacing the Affordable Care Act, widely known as Obamacare, if he could find a better and more affordable alternative. However, he failed to provide specific details about any potential plan and mentioned he would offer more information soon.
In a rally on Thursday in Charlotte, Harris criticized Trump for this response, saying, “You heard what he said in the debate. He has no plan to replace it.”
“He talked about ideas for a plan,” Harris said, gesturing and laughing.
As the crowd applauded, she remarked, “Oh, you did watch the debate?”
Harris echoed a similar critique of Trump later that evening at another rally in North Carolina.
“You remember? ‘Ideas’ Which signifies there’s no real plan,” she told attendees in Greensboro.
Her comments in Charlotte followed shortly after Trump declared on social media that he would not participate in another debate with Harris.
The former president’s decision sparked backlash from Democratic members, leading Harris to respond on stage. “We owe it to the voters to have another debate,” she asserted.
