Two toddlers in diapers were found on a Texas highway after a serious collision involving two cars on Tuesday.
Authorities report that two toddlers clad only in diapers were discovered stranded on a Texas highway following a significant car accident, as shown in footage obtained by YSL News.
The incident took place on Tuesday on the main lanes of Interstate 10 East Freeway in Freeport, Texas, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez in a post on X. The collision involved two vehicles, one of which rolled over multiple times, resulting in ejections, the sheriff indicated.
The overturned vehicle had one adult and two children on board, all of whom were transported to a hospital. Fortunately, the occupants of the second vehicle escaped unharmed, as stated by Gonzalez.
Details regarding the ages of the children and the condition of the adult involved were not disclosed by Gonzalez.
YSL News reached out to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday but has yet to receive a reply.
‘I feared they might not have survived’
Victor Cordova shared with KTRK-TV that he witnessed the accident as he was driving home.
“I was convinced they didn’t make it. I thought they were gone,” Cordova expressed.
However, he soon understood that the children had survived when he noticed them in the aftermath. Two men attending to and comforting the distressed toddlers.
