Princess Kate shares a new photo taken by her 6-year-old son Prince Louis for World Cancer Day
Is Prince Louis starting a career in photography?
On Monday, the official X and Instagram accounts of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartfelt message from Princess Kate in honor of World Cancer Day, observed on Tuesday.
The post featured a photograph of the Princess of Wales, arms outstretched, standing in a wooded area. The caption revealed that the image was taken by her son, Prince Louis, who is just 6 years old, with Prince William.
“Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,” wrote Kate, along with the hashtag “WorldCancerDay.”
Princess Kate and Prince William have three children: Prince George, who is 11; Princess Charlotte, aged 9; and Prince Louis, who is 6.
This social media update comes as Princess Kate nears the one-year mark since she announced her cancer diagnosis last March. Following a period of reduced public appearances, she started to return and informed the public in September that she had completed her chemotherapy treatments.
Last month, Kate shared that her cancer is now in remission. She visited the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she received care, before making the announcement.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery,” Kate expressed on social media on January 14. “Anyone who has faced a cancer diagnosis understands it requires time to adapt to the new normal. Nonetheless, I am excited about a fulfilling year ahead filled with much to look forward to. Thank you all for your ongoing support.”
Kate also extended her gratitude to the Royal Marsden Hospital for their exceptional care throughout the past year.
During Princess Kate’s 43rd birthday celebration last month, Prince William publicly acknowledged her resilience in an Instagram tribute.
“To the most amazing wife and mother. The strength you have shown this past year is truly remarkable,” William wrote. “George, Charlotte, Louis, and I are very proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you.”
