2025 Baseball Hall of Fame Voting Results: Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner Inducted
In results announced on Tuesday night, Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner have gained the required 75% backing from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
These three players will join Dick Allen and Dave Parker, who were inducted on December 8, 2024, through the Classic Baseball Era Committee.
Ichiro was just one vote shy of achieving a unanimous selection for the Hall of Fame, becoming the second player ever to receive all but one vote; Derek Jeter previously accomplished this feat in 2020.
The 2025 ballot featured 28 candidates, including 14 first-time nominees. As per the rules, nominees can remain on the ballot for a decade unless they are elected or receive less than 5% of the votes each year. The ceremony to honor the inductees will take place in Cooperstown on July 27, 2025.
