‘Breaking Bad’ Albuquerque house is on the market for $4 million
Exciting news for “Breaking Bad” enthusiasts! The legendary home of Walter White from the series is now available for purchase, according to local news station KOB-4.
This northeast Albuquerque residence is set to be listed at $4 million, despite having a “Zestimate” valuation of about $350,000.
The high price tag can be attributed to its allure among fans of the show, who flock to the site even years after the series finale. At the time of filming, the house was owned by Fran and Louis Padilla, who had purchased it in 1973.
The Padillas raised their children in the cozy 1,900 square foot house. Their daughter, Joanne Quintana, recounted to KOB-4 how fans would frequently come to their door asking for photographs. To manage the attention, they eventually built a fence around their property. With time, the Padilla family aged, and after the passing of the parents, the children decided it was time to sell the home.
The inside of the house was primarily utilized for staging purposes and equipment storage, while many notable scenes were shot outside, including a famous moment by the family’s pool, as stated in the KOB report. Quintana believes that the new owner should consider transforming the property into a museum or tribute to the series — “it’s what fans desire,” she expressed.
