The Winnipeg Jets Set New Record with a 14-1 Start in the NHL
On Saturday, the Winnipeg Jets achieved a historic milestone in the NHL by beating the Dallas Stars 4-1, marking the best start ever with 14 wins out of their first 15 games.
The previous record was held by the Ottawa Senators, who won 13 of their first 14 games during the 2007-08 season.
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck was exceptional, saving 32 shots and establishing a franchise record for the longest shutout streak at 191 minutes and 45 seconds.
For Winnipeg, Alex Iafallo and Vladislav Namestnikov each contributed one goal and one assist, while Rasmus Kupari and Nikolaj Ehlers also found the net and Cole Perfetti provided two assists.
On the other side, Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger was replaced after 29 minutes into the game, having only saved 11 out of 15 shots.
Dallas did manage to score, ending Hellebuyck’s shutout streak before it reached three games. Roope Hintz scored with 1:22 left in the game, with assists from Thomas Harley and Evgenii Dadonov.
