Meet America’s canine politicians: Atlas and Scout. Although the two doggos are surveys apart in terms of type and age, their goal is the same: to assist their owners win the election.

Both puppies have received some media coverage of their own during the course of the campaign, which has included a lot of protection for them.

How’s what to know about the Offers – the most important pups – of the gained nominations ‘ activities.

Atlas: J. D. Vance

Vance director Luke Schroeder reported to YSL News that Atlas is a European sheep who will turn one on November 1 for his first birthday. The dog was purchased by the home from a neighborhood farmer.

As former president Donald Trump’s running mate campaigned across the country, Atlas has been a continuous friend. Vance’s story has been alleged that the Republican nominee rented the puppy to make him appear like a “dog lover.”

Addressing the state in an appointment with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, Vance, whose finger was on Atlas, joked:” But, this is Atlas, which I found out on the internet a few weeks ago that he’s really a rent-a-dog that was given to me by the campaign to make me look like I’m a dog lover”.

Vance continued:” It’s really violent to discover these lefties be like,’ Oh, that dog, that’s absolutely not his dog.’ Of course, we got him when he was an 8-week-old puppy, and we love dogs, and he’s been our little guy. But he’s so well-trained and so normal. It’s shocking to me that anybody would think that he’s not our puppy, but here we are”.

According to the Vance campaign, Atlas enjoys lamb and blueberry dog food, and anything else he can get his hands on is his favorite food. He enjoys “any plastic or stuffed toy he finds lying around the family’s house, whether it belongs to him or not,” according to his favorite toys.

Scout: Tim Walz

Five-year-old Scout is a former shelter dog, whom the Democratic Walz calls a “lab mix”, as the dog is a cross between a Labrador Retriever, Boxer, and Chow Chow.

” Scout is a gentle giant, a big softie, who loves ice-cream, his sister Honey the cat’s food, catching frisbees – and us”, the Walz family said over email to YSL News. We would like to let him know that we had saved him just as much as we had saved us.

After the governor promised his son Gus that he would give him a dog if he won the 2018 governorship election, the Walz family, according to Vogue, gave him to the Minnesota-based nonprofit Midwest Animal Rescue and Services.

A woman named Kathy discovered Scout and nine of his littermates abandoned on the side of a rural road in Oklahoma when they were just 11 weeks old. Before a rainstorm, many of the pups had crawled down and sat in a ravine. Kathy and her son helped rescue them all before the area flooded, Vogue reported. Midwest Animal Rescue and Services gave the litter temporary names: Scout was given the name Gene.

According to Vogue, Walz had stated to reporters at the time,” I’m proud that Minnesota’s First Dog is a rescue dog, and I hope Scout serves as a reminder that there are many pups waiting to be adopted.”

Walz later told WeRateDogs ‘ Matt Nelson that having a dog or pets improves one’s quality of life.

Scout makes the news

Scout unintentionally locked himself in a bedroom in October 2023, making national headlines. Walz was aware that the dog had gotten locked in the bedroom at the time when he shared texts from his wife on the platform that was formerly known as Twitter. According to Walz, a rescue unit with ladders had to be set up, and about an hour later, they were able to free Scout.

” One of the windows was unlocked, so they were able to go through there and then let him out”, Walz told TODAY.com. He complained about it,” he said. But he was laying in comfort, sleeping on the bed the whole time. So he’s out, seems content, and we’ve locked the door so we wo n’t repeat it.

Later, Walz claimed Scout had sneaked into his bedroom with the intention of taking a nap on his bed, something he’s not supposed to do. Scout pushed the door shut and opened the lock to prevent being caught, which led to his bedroom becoming locked in the middle of the night.

In “answering” Vogue’s” Dogue questionnaire”, Scout said that his favorite food is anything with peanut butter on it and his favorite activity is playing frisbee with Tim.

At the time this story was filed, it was unknown whether former presidents Donald Trump or Kamala Harris owned dogs.
