Justin Timberlake Calls Off Another Concert Due to Back Pain: ‘I Apologize’

Justin Timberlake has had to cancel yet another performance as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour.

The 43-year-old singer, known for “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”, took to Instagram on Saturday to share that he would be canceling his upcoming performance in Oklahoma City, which was set for Monday, following his doctor’s advice.

“I’m so sorry, Oklahoma City,” he expressed. “I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I injured my back while in New Orleans, and my doctors have advised me to take a bit more time to rest.”

Timberlake, who just performed in New Orleans on November 25, added, “I appreciate your understanding — you all know how much I dislike having to do this.”

This is not the first time Timberlake has had to cancel performances recently; he has done so several times over the past two months.

Earlier in October, the 10-time Grammy-winning artist had to cancel a concert in Newark, New Jersey, also citing an injury that hindered his ability to perform. He expressed his disappointment at that time but was able to announce a new date for the concert just a week later.

Later that month, he had to push back six shows in cities including Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Columbus due to a different health issue. These concerts, which were originally planned for October and November, have now been rescheduled to February.

“I’ve not been feeling well during my last few performances and have been diagnosed with bronchitis and laryngitis,” he shared back then.

Timberlake has been on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour since April and has shows booked through the following summer.

In June, he faced legal trouble in New York for driving under the influence. Timberlake later accepted a plea deal for a reduced charge of driving with impaired ability, a traffic-related offense that isn’t criminal. As part of the agreement, he will pay a fine and complete community service.

“I hold myself to high standards, and this was not one of them,” Timberlake commented to reporters. “I want to tell everyone out there, even if you’ve had just one drink, please don’t drive. There are so many alternatives available like calling a friend or getting an Uber.”
