New Research Shows Plugged Wells and Decreased Injection Rates Diminish Induced Earthquake Occurrences in Oklahoma

Wastewater injection resulting from oil and gas production in Oklahoma caused a dramatic rise in seismic activity in the state between 2009 and 2015. Kendrick Lamar Drops New Untitled Track: A Provocative Take on Rivalries and a Musical Milestone Since “Not Like Us”

Kendrick Lamar drops new untitled track; touches on feud, marks his first since ‘Not Like Us’

Kendrick Lamar has released a new song, his first since the powerful “Not Like Us,” which marked the conclusion of his famous feud with Drake, a rivalry that has left a significant mark on rap culture.

The untitled track was shared on Lamar’s Instagram account just before 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday. As of 10 p.m. ET, it was not yet available on any streaming platforms.

Though Drake isn’t directly named, he plays an implicit role in the narrative that explores themes of indulgence, spirituality, and the rejection of fame’s allure.

Reference to DJ Akademiks

Lamar doesn’t shy away from the ongoing tension and seems to make a veiled reference to streamer DJ Akademiks, a known supporter of Drake, when he raps: “That radio guy spreading gossip for pay / Let me know when they become a casualty.”

The track contrasts sharply with the explosive nature of Lamar’s previous work, featuring introspective lyrics over a relaxed, soulful beat.

This release hints at a potential new project, as Lamar typically drops installments from “The Heart” series ahead of new albums. Previously, Drake released “The Heart Pt. 6,” which many saw as a sign of truce in their rivalry.

Interestingly, this new track came out just three days after Lamar was announced as the headliner for Super Bowl LIX, and on the same night that “Not Like Us” received a nomination for Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.
